Who Inspects Professors?

    Abstract: Research project, awards, excellent course and personnel plan serve as inspections on professors, behind which exist disciplines of academics and education by power. Under the structure of “disciplining academics by power”, professors are inspected individually or collectively and hence are obedient to such inspection. Not only power but also students are inappropriate to inspect professors. The sole appropriate pattern of inspection is self-inspection, which means professors could only be inspected by themselves, to inspect whether they hold reverence toward education and civilization, and along with which toward themselves. Inspection may not be beneficial and justifiable without such reverence.
