On Effectiveness of Civil and Commercial Law Class Teaching for Undergraduate

    Abstract: Improving the effectiveness of teaching has always been the pursuit of university teaching. This Paper focuses on the civil and commercial Law class teaching for undergraduates. First, it discusses the meaning of the effectiveness of class teaching from teacher’s perspective, holding that its core is to respect the principle position of students and to care for students' needs. Then the Paper analyzes various factors that lead to inefficiency of civil and commercial class teaching, including the deviation on the choice of education modes, the backwardness of the traditional teaching methods, the lack of teacher’s personality, imbalance between judicial examination and legal education, insufficiency of the vocational legal education. Given all these unfavorable factors, the Paper attempts to propose a shift in teaching philosophy and to optimize the teaching methods in order to improve the effectiveness of civil and commercial law class teaching.
