Li Furen and the Journalism Education in Yan’an During 1940s---the Origin of Journalism Education in Northwest University of Politics and Law

    Abstract: As the principal of Yan’an University , Li Furen, who had been both a correspondent and a college teacher for many years, started the journalism education in Yan’an in 1940s. Succeeded in dealing with many difficulties in wartime, he had managed to set up a proper system for journalism education at wartime. The journalism education in Yan’an University started with “field classes” and evolved to formal and standard education, which is a huge legacy in the history of journalism education in China.
